Being a GOATz board member involves both leadership and hands-on service to support the organization’s mission, events, and community impact. It’s a role that blends strategic decision with practical involvement in day-to-day activities. Board members may assist with race planning, group runs, community events, and trail maintenance. A board member serves as a steward of the organization—helping guide its direction, uphold its values, and ensure it remains financially and operationally healthy. It’s a collaborative and rewarding role for individuals passionate about trail running, community building, and outdoor stewardship.
